Shopfloor Assistant – Retail Store Operations

About the role

Join Selco's store team in Ruislip as a Shopfloor Assistant, delivering excellent customer service and keeping the shop floor running smoothly. You will work with specialist equipment, handle building‑material stock and ensure shelves are always well presented.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient service to every customer.
• Operate specialist equipment such as sawmills, paint mixers and forklifts.
• Perform manual handling of building‑material products safely.
• Merchandise stock displays and replenish shelves throughout the store.
• Work a contracted 37.5‑hour week on‑site.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Willingness to work with specialist shop‑floor equipment.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
• Attention to detail when merchandising and restocking.
• Availability for full‑time, on‑site work.

Required skills

• Operating sawmill equipment.
• Operating paint mixers.
• Operating forklifts.
