Shunter – HGV Driver (Night/Day Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Shunter to operate HGV Class 1 vehicles within a busy yard environment. The role offers both day and night shift patterns on a 4‑on‑4‑off roster, guaranteeing 48 hours of work each week.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HGV1/2 vehicles to move trailers and containers safely within the yard.
• Follow all health and safety procedures while shunting.
• Collaborate with two other drivers to ensure smooth yard operations.
• Provide extra support when required, maintaining flexibility for team needs.

Required profile

• Available to start immediately.
• Team player with strong communication abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Full UK licence with entitlement to drive HGV Class 1.
• Valid CPC certification.
• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsements or convictions.
• No LTD/self‑employed payments.

Required skills

• HGV Class 1 operation.
• CPC certification.
