Signal Processing Engineer - Radar Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Signal Processing Engineer to join a research‑led engineering team focused on radar and advanced sensing systems. You will work on highly complex, often ambiguous technical challenges, developing novel approaches that will be deployed in mission‑critical defence environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop advanced models and simulations of radar and sensing systems.
• Design, implement and validate signal‑processing algorithms under realistic constraints.
• Explore system‑level interactions across RF, sensing and processing domains.
• Build and test proof‑of‑concept solutions using MATLAB, Simulink and Python.
• Contribute to hardware‑integrated and real‑time systems, including test benches and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) setups.

Required profile

• Strong technical curiosity and solid fundamentals in engineering.
• Ability to operate across multiple disciplines and tackle unfamiliar challenges.
• Experience with radar or sensor modelling, simulation, and system design.
• Background in signal‑processing algorithm development and validation.
• Familiarity with complex system modelling and multi‑domain interactions.
