SIPP/SSAS Technician

About the role

We are seeking a SIPP/SSAS Technician to join a specialist pension team in Edinburgh. The role supports account managers handling a portfolio of self‑invested personal pensions (SIPP) and small self‑administered schemes (SSAS), ensuring compliance and smooth operation for advisors and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex SIPP and SSAS enquiries from advisors, clients and internal colleagues.
• Verify that all investment selections comply with current pension regulations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of pension legislation and apply it to daily tasks.
• Ensure systems and processes meet regulatory requirements and implement corrective action plans for any non‑compliant situations.
• Deliver product and regulation‑focused training to staff and follow up on outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with SIPP and/or SSAS arrangements in a consultancy or provider environment.
• Strong understanding of historic and current pension legislation.
• Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and apply it to client portfolios.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
