Site Agent – Construction Project Delivery

About the role

The Site Agent will be responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning and hand‑over of contracts across multiple sites in Manchester, Derbyshire and Lancashire. Reporting to the Head of Construction/Operations Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery from scheme conception to end‑user acceptance.
• Promote exceptional health‑and‑safety and quality standards for both direct and subcontracted teams.
• Implement the Building Management System (BMS) throughout all project stages.
• Maintain strong client, joint‑venture partner and supplier relationships.
• Ensure trained personnel are allocated and understand their responsibilities.
• Review, approve and monitor the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and related construction plans.
• Prepare, approve and control method statements before work commences.
• Report site non‑conformities and provide cost estimates.
• Manage commercial aspects, delivering accurate forecasts and estimates.
• Participate in professional development and industry networking.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role in engineering/infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project management practices and construction delivery.
• Excellent safety awareness and ability to enforce quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for client and stakeholder management.
