Site Agent – Construction Site Supervision (Midlands)

About the role

The Site Agent/Senior Agent will oversee daily operations on a construction site in the Midlands, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery from set‑up through project completion. Reporting to senior management, the role combines site supervision, subcontractor coordination, and health‑and‑safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage site set‑up, ensuring facilities are ready before launch.
• Maintain weekly programme targets and drive project pace.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and coordinate utility providers, TM, and deep drainage works.
• Enforce HSEQS protocols, quality control, and temporary works registration.
• Monitor onsite energy and waste data, and keep the Temporary Works Register up to date.
• Lead a team of foremen and site staff, handling conflicting priorities and stakeholder issues.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience on National Highways or complex resurfacing projects up to £60 m.
• Previous number‑2 role on delivery projects with pre‑construction planning experience.
• Strong people‑management and industrial‑relations knowledge.
• Ability to travel to future schemes as needed.

Required skills

• BIM strategy understanding.
• IOSH or equivalent H&S management training.
• Temporary Works & Excavation Safety permitting.
• Working at Heights & Scaffolding competence.
• Lifting & Cranage operations knowledge.
