Site Assistant – Full‑time at Secondary School in Bromley

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Site Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Bromley. The role is permanent, full‑time and starts in September 2026, providing a stable environment to keep the school premises safe, clean and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Open and lock the school premises each day.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks.
• Perform routine health and safety inspections across the site.
• Ensure buildings and grounds are clean, safe and well‑maintained.
• Set up classrooms, sports facilities, halls and outdoor areas for activities and events.
• Monitor site security and report any concerns.
• Assist with deliveries, contractor access and site logistics.
• Support day‑to‑day upkeep of school facilities and equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Site Assistant, School Caretaker, Facilities Assistant or similar role.
• Good practical maintenance, repair and DIY abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Flexible, hands‑on and reliable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
