Site Engineer (PTS) – Rail Framework

About the role
We are seeking a Site Engineer to join a Tier‑1 civil engineering contractor on a prestigious rail framework in North England. The position is long‑term, working on civil works within a railway environment and will be based on‑site in Stockport.
Key responsibilities
- Set out and monitor works on site, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
- Conduct Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and develop Work Package Plans.
- Maintain quality control records in line with project specifications.
- Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Raise and resolve technical queries promptly.
- Verify that all materials and workmanship meet required specifications.
Required profile
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years experience in civil or rail construction.
- Valid PTS/CSCS card.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
