Site HSE Advisor – Oil & Gas (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site HSE Advisor to join a global EPC market leader on a 12‑month contract in Teesside. The role supports the development, management and continuous improvement of the safety management system for large‑scale offshore and on‑shore projects within the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Drive HSE awareness through workforce engagement and training.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor subcontractor performance and ensure equipment compliance.
• Manage risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses and safe work practices.
• Oversee Permit‑to‑Work systems and hazardous material controls.
• Report HSE performance, track KPIs and support incident investigations.
• Promote environmental compliance and sustainability on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HSE Advisor on oil & gas on‑shore projects (and offshore exposure is a plus).
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• NEBOSH Diploma.
• Relevant HSE or engineering qualification.
• Full, permanent right‑to‑work in the UK (no sponsorship).
