Site Manager – 8‑Week Contract in Cambridge

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead a fast‑paced refurbishment project at a school in Cambridge. The role involves managing a live educational environment, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the complete refurbishment of the school library, including strip‑out, lighting upgrades, décor improvements and minor HVAC works.
• Coordinate the installation of partition walls and finishing furniture.
• Ensure all works are delivered on time, within scope and to quality expectations.
• Maintain strict health and safety compliance across the site.
• Liaise with contractors, school representatives and other project stakeholders.
• Manage daily site activity, logistics and reporting.

Required profile

• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Advanced DBS check (essential for a school environment).
• Proven experience managing refurbishment projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to work long shifts (4:30 am‑4:30 pm, Monday‑Friday).
