Site Manager – Civil Engineering Projects

About the role

You will lead the day‑to‑day management and delivery of civil engineering works on a construction site in the Solihull area. The role requires ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all on‑site civils activities, including earthworks, drainage, concrete and infrastructure works.
• Lead and supervise site teams, engineers and subcontractors.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Coordinate works against the programme and resolve delivery challenges.
• Review and implement RAMS, ITPs and project documentation.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and site reporting.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within heavy civils, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certifications.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete and foundations.
• Experience with RAMS and ITPs.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Valid UK driving licence.
