Site Manager – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

VolkerLaser is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join its Scottish team, overseeing concrete and steel structure projects across the Central Belt. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day site operations for bridge deck waterproofing, concrete repair, steel strengthening and related infrastructure works.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets and safe systems of work.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and other external parties.
• Monitor progress, manage resources and report on performance against schedule and budget.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a site management role on infrastructure projects, preferably involving concrete structures or bridges.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to deliver works safely while meeting quality and environmental standards.
• Degree in a civil‑engineering‑related subject or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• SMSTS certification.
• CSCSA certification.
• Civil Engineering degree or comparable academic background.
