Site Manager – Construction & Refurbishment

About the role

The Site Manager will oversee commercial refurbishment projects across the South West, ensuring all works—from groundworks to finishing—are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be the on‑site point of contact for clients, subcontractors and the internal team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders on site.
• Plan and schedule works in line with project programmes, monitoring deadlines and budgets.
• Prepare work schedules for installation teams and organise site logistics.
• Monitor progress, quality, productivity and resource allocation throughout the project.
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards and ensure full site compliance.
• Carry out quality inspections, snagging, close‑out procedures and provide regular updates to clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven site management experience in construction, preferably in refurbishment, fit‑out or building maintenance.
• NVQ (or equivalent) and SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with mechanical & electrical (M&E) works.
• NVQ qualification.
• SSSTS certification.
• SMSTS certification.
