Site Manager

About the role

As a Site Manager for Novus you will oversee multiple construction sites in the Cannock area, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a skilled trade team, manage subcontractors and contribute to the social value of the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site teams, work activities and resources across several contracts.
• Coordinate selection and formation of site personnel, including subcontractors.
• Gather and verify pre‑construction information such as packs and asbestos surveys.
• Produce accurate contract documentation and reports in partnership with the Contracts Manager.
• Identify site hazards, implement risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements.
• Assist in preparing estimates, bids and tenders.
• Create and maintain a master programme to monitor progress across live sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planned refurbishment works within social housing or tenanted properties.
• Strong knowledge of internal refurbishments, including kitchen and bathroom refits.
• Ability to manage several sites simultaneously while meeting commercial and budget targets.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel daily to sites.
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS or an equivalent NVQ.
