Site Manager

About the role

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead a construction project in the North West region of England. Reporting to the Senior Site Manager or Project Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Project Management Plan, site procedures and documentation.
• Produce and monitor quality records to verify compliance with specifications.
• Ensure adherence to the Health & Safety Management Plan and BAM operating procedures.
• Manage handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
• Apply BAM construction environmental procedures on site.
• Maintain site diaries, subcontractor attendance and progress records.
• Oversee direct and subcontracted labour, allocation sheets and records.
• Provide advice on buildability issues as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑quality construction projects in the North West.
• Broad technical background in construction, with experience on various project types.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (ideally SMSTS).
• Confident use of IT packages and construction management systems.
• Strong communication skills and a full driving licence.
• HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent, or a solid trade background.

• Proficiency with IT packages and construction management software.
