Site Manager

About the role

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on‑site activities for construction projects in London. This role requires close coordination with the Railston Project Manager and Construction Manager to ensure health and safety standards, programme targets and quality expectations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the site office and health & safety station, manage visitor sign‑in and inductions.
• Monitor daily health & safety plans, PPE provision and compliance with site‑specific RAMS.
• Conduct regular toolbox talks, cleanliness checks and ensure all subcontractors follow approved procedures.
• Plan and co‑ordinate deliveries, storage, skips and off‑hire plant with ample notice.
• Issue daily and nightly reports covering progress, variations and any site issues.
• Carry out pre‑hand‑over snagging inspections and manage post‑hand‑over defect resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum SMSTS, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness (classroom) and First Aid (F‑A‑W) certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret scope of works, programme schedules and asbestos surveys.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to plan multiple trades and deliveries.
• Proactive communication with the project team and ability to raise concerns promptly.
