Site Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Site Manager will lead a large manufacturing site in Rushden, overseeing production, technical, engineering and hygiene teams. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will drive performance, growth and a strong customer service culture.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and implement manufacturing plans to improve performance and meet financial targets.
• Develop commercial relationships and collaborate with trading, retail, logistics and supply‑chain partners.
• Lead growth initiatives for Morrisons and external customers, including online channels.
• Ensure high‑quality production for Morrisons and third‑party brands, launching new product offers as needed.
• Manage raw‑material sourcing, preparation, packing and dispatch to internal and external customers.
• Inspire and develop the site team, handling colleague issues and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor and improve Financial, Quality, Service and People KPIs, leading improvement projects.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and company standards for product safety.
• Drive automation and CAPEX projects, delivering sales and profit in line with the business plan.

Required profile

• Experience at Site Manager/Director level in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices.
• Proven leadership with a people‑driven approach and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen, analytical thinking and ability to innovate.
