Site Manager – School Refurbishment (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Site Manager to lead school refurbishment projects during the summer holidays. This temporary position lasts 6‑8 weeks and offers a fast‑paced environment where you will ensure high‑quality delivery on site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain Health, Safety and Environmental standards, conducting briefings and risk assessments.
• Lead and motivate site staff, subcontractors and trade teams.
• Drive the programme, managing resources and resolving on‑site issues to meet deadlines.
• Implement and monitor quality‑control procedures for a high finish.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients, architects, surveyors and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on school refurbishment or similar construction projects.
• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and relevant building regulations.
