Site Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a CPC‑qualified Site Operations Manager to lead a fast‑moving transport operation in Accrington. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and ensure the delivery of a first‑class, cost‑effective service.

Key responsibilities

• Take ultimate responsibility for the day‑to‑day transport operation.
• Provide a first‑class service while maximising cost efficiency.
• Manage vehicle scheduling and maximise vehicle utilisation.
• Recruit, retain and train the distribution team.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a similar customer‑centric transport role.
• Transport Manager CPC qualification is essential.
• Experience delivering against budgets and KPIs.
• Knowledge of employment, transport, health & safety legislation and site compliance.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage a sizeable team.
• Understanding of continuous improvement techniques, KPI management, employment law and H&S legislation.
