Site Reliability / Software Engineer (SC Cleared)

About the role

This position offers a technically versatile engineer the chance to work on secure, mission‑critical systems in a highly regulated environment. You will blend hands‑on software development with Site Reliability and DevOps responsibilities, supporting the full software lifecycle from code to production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure, scalable Java and Python applications.
• Support and enhance live systems, improving reliability and stability.
• Automate deployment and operational tasks using CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting (ELK stack).
• Troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, and platform layers.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimise delivery processes.
• Participate in Agile Scrum teams and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in Software Engineering, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong development background with Java and experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Good understanding of Linux environments and command‑line tooling.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or OpenStack) and container technologies (Docker).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK.
• Proven ability to work in Agile teams and follow CI/CD best practices.
