Site Services Technician

About the role

We are seeking an electrically trained Site Services Technician to join the Engineering team at KP Snacks in Ashby de la Zouch. The role offers a qualified electrician the chance to broaden experience across site services, utilities and infrastructure within a leading snack manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and fault‑finding on a range of site services equipment, including installations and planned maintenance.
• Maintain essential utilities such as boilers, compressed air, water and effluent systems, as well as electrical infrastructure.
• Support compliance by completing inspections, keeping accurate records and assisting with fire systems, sprinklers and legionella controls.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and specialist service providers to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency and overall site performance.

Required profile

• Recognised electrical qualification (Electrical Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent); 18th Edition BS 7671 desirable.
• Strong electrical maintenance experience with practical fault‑finding skills in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proactive problem‑solver able to work independently, manage priorities and respond to operational challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interaction with internal teams, contractors and external providers.
• Willingness to learn and develop across broader site services and building infrastructure.
