Site Supervisor – Cleaning Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead cleaning operations across two Royal Mail mail centres in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The role involves ensuring high‑quality service delivery, maintaining compliance, and fostering strong customer relationships in a fast‑paced facilities management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support cleaning operatives at both sites, ensuring standards meet contractual and compliance requirements.
• Manage staffing levels, overtime, absenteeism and resource planning.
• Conduct site inspections, implement corrective action plans and monitor soft‑service performance such as waste, pest control and grounds maintenance.
• Support cost‑control initiatives for consumables and materials.
• Maintain health & safety compliance and resolve escalated FM issues.
• Coach, train and develop team members to maximise performance.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience within the cleaning or soft FM industry.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards and methods (BICS preferred).
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Confident use of IT systems, apps, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation.
• Access to transport for travel between the two sites.
