Site Supervisor / Foreman for Major Motorway Project

About the role

You will join a leading UK infrastructure and engineering services provider to supervise day‑to‑day operations on a high‑profile motorway scheme in Scotland. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient and compliant works that maintain and improve a critical transport route.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organise daily site activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress against programme targets.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractor teams, resolving operational issues promptly.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Interpret drawings, method statements and risk assessments to guide on‑site execution.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in highways, civil engineering or related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, site safety and quality standards.
• Relevant industry qualifications such as SSSTS, SMSTS or NRSWA.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to a safe and compliant working environment.
