Site Technician – Construction Materials Testing

About the role

This full‑time Site Technician position is based at Adecco’s Manchester depot and involves travelling across the North West to carry out construction materials testing on a variety of infrastructure projects. You will work in a specialist team, using a company van to reach sites and ensure that materials meet required specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to construction sites across North West England using a company‑provided van.
• Conduct on‑site testing and sampling of concrete, aggregates, soil and other construction materials.
• Accurately record test results, complete required documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain testing equipment and the company vehicle in good condition.
• Collaborate with site teams, contractors and colleagues to support project delivery.
• Follow all health, safety and quality procedures while on site.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS Card (essential).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the North West region.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Positive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
