Sixth Form Academic Mentor

About the role
This position offers a graduate or aspiring educator the chance to support 16‑19 year‑old students in a thriving secondary school and sixth form environment. You will help learners develop confidence, resilience and effective study habits during a pivotal stage of their education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide academic and pastoral guidance to sixth form students.
- Manage a dedicated Study Zone for up to 100 students, ensuring a calm, purposeful environment.
- Promote positive behaviour for learning and monitor attendance.
- Deliver targeted mentoring, interventions and support for university applications and career planning.
- Coordinate enrichment activities and sixth form events.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a strong academic record.
- Experience leading or supervising large groups of young people.
- Excellent communication, organisational and relationship‑building abilities.
- Positive, resilient and approachable attitude.
- Interest in a future career in teaching, educational psychology, pastoral care or youth work.
