Skilled Aircraft Fitter

About the role

Guidant Global, on behalf of Airbus, is seeking Skilled Aircraft Fitters for its Filton site. You will join a world‑class manufacturing environment, contributing to the assembly of advanced commercial and military aircraft in a safety‑critical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret detailed engineering instructions and aircraft drawings to perform precision assembly.
• Carry out tasks such as drilling, shimming and sealing using hand and power tools.
• Ensure all work complies with strict quality, health and safety standards.
• Complete training to achieve first‑party certification.
• Work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces and at height.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives.

Required profile

• Completed full engineering apprenticeship (mandatory).
• NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent certification.
• Proof of qualifications required at application stage.
• Experience in a fitter, assembly or manufacturing role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
