Skilled Machine Operator – Day Shift

About the role

Yeo Valley is seeking an experienced Skilled Machine Operator to join its large production site in Newton Abbot. You will work on a 4‑on/4‑off day shift (06:00‑18:00) within a fast‑paced environment, helping to deliver high‑quality yogurts, desserts and ice‑cream across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Follow health, safety and quality standards, including GMP requirements.
• Pack a range of well‑known products.
• Operate a variety of machinery such as filling, packing, forming or CNC machines.
• Complete production paperwork accurately.
• Disassemble, clean and rebuild production equipment as needed.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating filling, packing, forming or CNC machinery.
• Good communication, numeracy and literacy for documentation.
• Physical stamina for a demanding role.
• Commitment to high cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts and operate unsupervised.
• Team‑player attitude with a strong work ethic.
