Skilled Production Operator

About the role

Valeo Foods UK is seeking motivated Production Operators to join its kettle chips manufacturing team. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring high‑quality food products are produced safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and adjust equipment across potato preparation, frying, seasoning and packaging.
• Set up machinery and perform product changeovers to minimise downtime.
• Carry out routine quality checks for appearance, flavour, weight and packaging.
• Monitor critical control points and follow HACCP, hygiene and GMP procedures.
• Complete production records, quality documentation and traceability checks accurately.
• Identify equipment faults and report to maintenance; perform basic machine maintenance and first‑line troubleshooting.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects to boost productivity, reduce waste and improve OEE.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to health‑and‑safety protocols.

Required profile

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production.
• Proven ability to operate food production machinery.
• Good understanding of food safety standards, HACCP, GMP and quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Problem‑solving mindset, proactive attitude and good teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and overtime as needed.
