Skills Development Lead – Energy Project

About the role

Sizewell C is building the UK’s largest nuclear power plant and needs a dedicated professional to lead its skills development programme. As the Skills Development Lead you will design and deliver initiatives that create sustainable talent pipelines for the project and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive skills strategy aligned with Sizewell C’s workforce requirements.
• Partner with further‑education colleges, training providers and supply‑chain organisations to create apprenticeship and training pathways.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders in the Employment Affairs Unit to ensure programmes meet project timelines.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of skills initiatives, adjusting plans as needed.
• Facilitate occasional travel to London and other Suffolk sites to support partnership activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in skills development, workforce planning or similar HR functions.
• Strong ability to translate strategic objectives into practical programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and partnership building skills.
• Understanding of the construction or energy sector is advantageous.
