Small Works Manager – Roofing (Commercial & Industrial)

About the role

The Small Works Manager – Roofing will lead roof repair and maintenance projects for commercial and industrial buildings across the South West. You will coordinate plant, materials, labour and schedules to deliver small‑works jobs efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Organise plant, material, labour and scheduling for roof repair and maintenance jobs.
• Negotiate with suppliers, sub‑contractors and service providers to secure best value.
• Deliver agreed margins and profitability targets for projects up to £10k.
• Prepare and enforce Health & Safety documentation on site.
• Ensure service reviews are carried out by operatives and contracts supervisors.
• Update internal systems with site activity, progress and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven management or supervisory experience in roofing or facilities management.
• Experience of refurbishment work is highly advantageous.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at height on roofs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels.
• Confident, articulate and able to take ownership of multiple projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of roofing systems – repairs, maintenance, felts, liquid systems, flat roofing and single‑ply membranes.
• Health and Safety compliance and documentation.
