SME Commercial Insurance Account Handler

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious insurance professional to join a leading independent broker in Sutton. The role offers a pathway from personal lines or apprenticeship experience into commercial broking, with hybrid working after training.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for SME and commercial clients, handling routine enquiries and building relationships.
• Manage the full administrative cycle for accounts, including invoices, policy summaries and certificates.
• Assist senior Account Directors in presenting risks to underwriters and negotiating optimal terms.
• Maintain and grow a dedicated book of smaller commercial clients throughout the annual insurance cycle.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and promote additional insurance products.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in the insurance industry, preferably with experience in personal lines.
• Excellent communication and administrative abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks independently.
• Proactive, adaptable and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Experience with the ACTURIS insurance platform (training provided if not familiar).
