Snowflake Data Architect – 5 Days On‑Site

About the role

Our client, a well‑established multinational organisation, is seeking a Snowflake/Data Architect to join their team in Wembley. The role is full‑time on‑site (5 days a week) and focuses on designing, governing and optimizing Snowflake data platforms, including AI/ML readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Define Star Schema patterns, Snowflake object hierarchies and modelling conventions as the Group‑wide standard.
• Design and implement secure, high‑throughput data pipelines connecting AWS S3 and Azure APIs through Snowflake, ensuring data integrity and auditability.
• Own the full security model for Snowflake – RBAC, dynamic data masking, row‑level security and comprehensive audit logging.
• Monitor Snowflake credit consumption, identify high‑cost query anti‑patterns and implement warehouse scheduling to reduce spend.
• Architect data stores purpose‑built for LLM consumption, including vector databases, embedding pipelines and RAG‑compatible structures.
• Partner with Business Analysts to define and document Data Contracts between producers and consumers.

Required profile

• Solid experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture with a focus on Snowflake platform design and governance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex data architecture into clear language for business analysts and non‑technical stakeholders.
