Social Media Marketing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a socially‑native Social Media Marketing Specialist to shape and grow the digital presence of a purpose‑led brand. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will create culturally‑aware storytelling across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, turning complex ideas into short‑form video and reactive content.

Key responsibilities

• Create, edit and publish social‑first content on Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Shoot and edit short‑form video using tools such as CapCut.
• Design quick‑turn creative assets in Canva.
• Write engaging, culturally‑aware copy with a consistent brand voice.
• Support content planning and campaign rollouts across social channels.
• Manage community engagement, including comments and direct messages.
• Spot trends, conversations and reactive content opportunities.
• Monitor performance metrics and use insights to optimise content.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in social media, digital content or editorial environments.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn platform behaviours.
• Excellent copywriting and storytelling abilities.
• Experience creating engaging short‑form video content.
• Culturally aware, curious and proactive mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, evolving environment.
• Background in journalism, media, politics, editorial content or community building is a plus.

What we offer

• Hybrid working model (1–2 days in the London office per week).
• Part‑time contract (2–3 days per week) with flexibility around campaigns.
• Initial 6‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
• Day rate of £180–£220 depending on experience.
