Social Value & Community Engagement Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Social Value & Community Engagement Manager to lead the social value strategy for a major place‑making and regeneration programme in South Cambridge. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape and embed measurable community benefits across a large‑scale development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long‑term Social Value and Community Engagement strategy.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and community consultation programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, community organisations and strategic partners.
• Manage Section 106 and wider community benefit commitments.
• Design frameworks to measure, monitor and report social value outcomes.
• Secure senior leadership buy‑in and present progress at executive level.
• Identify funding opportunities, partnerships and initiatives that enhance impact.
• Create communications and outreach activities to promote positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Significant experience in social value, community engagement, regeneration or place‑making.
• Background in property, real estate, infrastructure, construction or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong knowledge of social impact measurement and reporting frameworks.
• Proven track record delivering Section 106 or similar community benefit programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on delivery focus.
