Social Worker - Safeguarding and Family Support

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children in Care, Children’s Safeguarding and Family Support Services team. The role offers a hybrid working pattern and the chance to make a real difference to vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload, completing assessments and developing care plans.
- Lead on complex safeguarding and child protection cases, including risk management.
- Prepare high‑quality reports and provide evidence in court when required.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, carers and partner agencies.
- Collaborate with statutory, voluntary and independent organisations to implement interventions.
- Conduct preventative and early‑intervention work to reduce the need for children entering care.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in Children’s Services, especially CIC, Safeguarding or Family Support.
- Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List clearance.
