Social Worker – Support & Protection Team

About the role

Randstad Care is partnering with North East councils to recruit an experienced Social Worker for the Support & Protection Team. You will work within a dedicated safeguarding service, delivering statutory assessments and interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct statutory assessments and safeguarding interventions for children and families.
• Manage a varied caseload while ensuring high‑quality, child‑focused practice.
• Collaborate closely with partner agencies, multi‑agency partners and local authorities.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive reports and documentation.
• Support families through complex cases and promote lasting positive change.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with experience in children’s services.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection legislation and relevant policies.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and conduct thorough assessments.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
