Software Developer Internship – £20k-£25k

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Software Developer Intern to join our engineering team in Ellesmere Port. You will gain hands‑on experience building modern software solutions while working alongside experienced developers in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance simple software features under guidance.
• Write clean, maintainable code and learn industry best practices.
• Assist with testing, debugging and resolving software issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with the team.
• Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Passion for software development and willingness to learn.
• Understanding of programming fundamentals, object‑oriented concepts and basic design principles.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language and interest in modern frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of Git or version‑control concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude, curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
