About the role
We are seeking a motivated Software Developer to join a small, experienced team within an aerospace manufacturing business. The position is contract‑based, hybrid, and focuses on delivering new product features in an agile environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop high‑quality Java code within a Scrum framework.
- Design, implement and test features for new product development.
- Estimate tasks and contribute to sprint planning.
Required profile
- Results‑oriented and driven to succeed.
- Ambitious, collaborative and comfortable working in a small team.
- Experience with agile development processes.
Required skills
- Java Core (version 8+)
- Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Hibernate
- Developing RESTful APIs over HTTPS
- Microservice architecture and distributed systems
- Software design patterns
- CI/CD delivery techniques
- Source control with GIT
- Issue tracking using Jira
- UML/SysML modelling (Enterprise Architect or similar)
