Software Developer – Robotics (Front & Back-End)

About the role

Join Motion Impossible’s specialist R&D team to build the software that powers world‑class camera motion systems. You will work at the intersection of robotics, motion control and creative technology, delivering high‑performance solutions used in live broadcasts, film productions and major events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software that controls the precise movement of advanced robotic camera systems.
• Work across front‑end, back‑end and real‑time environments, with a primary focus on back‑end architecture.
• Apply a quantitative, physics‑based approach to design and problem solving.
• Capture and refine functional requirements to ensure the software meets customer needs.
• Collaborate closely with software and mechatronics engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, release activities and follow established development methodologies.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support post‑release activities.

Required profile

• Passion for software engineering, robotics and motion‑control technologies.
• Hands‑on experience delivering robust, high‑performance software solutions.
• Ability to work within a close‑knit, multidisciplinary team.
• Strong analytical mindset and quantitative problem‑solving skills.
