Software Development Engineer – Full‑Stack (React, Kotlin)

About the role

Amazon Ads is looking for a full‑stack Software Development Engineer to join the Reach Extension team in Edinburgh. You will help build innovative advertising products that reach millions of Amazon customers, working across the entire product lifecycle from concept to production and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and operate client‑ and server‑side features using React, TypeScript, Kotlin and Elasticsearch on AWS.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, programme managers and partner engineers to deliver high‑impact advertising solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end product quality, performance, accuracy and reliability at global 24x7 scale.
• Iterate on testing practices, architecture and delivery processes to continuously improve the product.

Required profile

• Professional (non‑internship) software development experience.
• Strong object‑oriented design skills with at least one modern language such as Java, C++ or C#.
• Passion for building scalable backend services and intuitive front‑end experiences.
• Customer‑obsessed mindset with the ability to prioritize value‑driving work.
