Software Engineer – C# & API Development

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a forward‑thinking, cross‑functional Agile team delivering enterprise backlog items for AJ Bell’s investment platform. The role offers a collaborative environment, training, and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain services and APIs using C#.
• Work with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Apply secure development practices and follow coding standards.
• Use Git for source control and Jenkins for CI automation.
• Collaborate within an Agile and DevOps framework, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing and documentation.

• Excellent communication, documentation and organisational skills.
