Software Engineer – Client Integrations

About the role

Stream is building a category‑defining financial wellbeing platform used by millions of everyday workers. As a Software Engineer focused on client integrations, you will help connect employer payroll, HR and workforce management systems to our app, enabling seamless data flow for our users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Solutions Team and Delivery Managers to design, develop, and test integration code for third‑party payroll, HR and WFM systems.
• Support onboarding of new clients by configuring them onto existing integration frameworks.
• Maintain and enhance the current integrations platform, driving system‑level optimisations and scalability.

Required profile

• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Organised and able to manage a varied workload across multiple projects.
• Resourceful problem‑solver who enjoys identifying and fixing issues.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience using Python.
• Experience with API technologies such as REST, JSON and XML.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, S3, API Gateway) – optional but beneficial.

What we offer

• Salary range £55,000 – £95,000 per year, plus equity vesting schedule.
• 25 days annual leave plus public holidays, with up to 5 days rollover.
• Flexible time‑off for childcare, family or caring responsibilities.
• 24 weeks paid maternity leave and 4 weeks paid paternity leave (after 12 months service).
• Hybrid working – three days per week in our London office.
