Software Engineer – Digital Intelligence

About the role

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is seeking a Software Engineer to join its National Security team in London. You will work on proof‑of‑concept and production systems that help governments and commercial clients turn complex data into actionable insight.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software solutions using JavaScript, Java.Net or Python.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build and test proof‑of‑concept prototypes.
• Manage source code with Git, Mercurial or Perforce and automate delivery pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity or Bitbucket.
• Apply automated testing frameworks and static analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube) to ensure code quality.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and follow common design patterns.

Required profile

• Experience programming in at least one of the listed languages.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and solve client challenges creatively.
• Eligibility to live and work permanently in the UK.
