Software Engineer Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join Bending Spoons’ fast‑moving product teams. You will work on real‑world features that serve millions of users, gaining end‑to‑end ownership from concept through production while collaborating with AI‑enhanced development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and ship software components that scale to millions of users.
• Leverage AI tools throughout the development lifecycle to improve speed and quality.
• Select and apply appropriate technologies across monoliths, micro‑services, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes and Docker environments.
• Continuously refactor code and architectures to reduce complexity and increase maintainability.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities; can solve complex problems from first principles.
• High drive and ambition with a sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Team‑oriented mindset; willing to support the best ideas and help teammates.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Rust programming.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with gRPC and REST APIs.
• Understanding of monolithic and micro‑service architectures.
