Software Engineer

About the role

Nordson Test & Inspection is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join its AXM team in Colchester. You will work closely with engineering and hardware groups to design, develop and maintain machine‑control software for metrology equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine‑control software for Nordson Dage tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Document software designs and user instructions.
• Support and debug field issues.
• Participate in code reviews and audits.
• Transfer code into volume manufacture.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Stay current with software techniques and trends.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C# development within a multi‑threaded environment.
• Experience building UI and business‑logic layers.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to design and develop software architectures.
