Software Engineer – Medical Imaging

About the role

Mirada, a global medical imaging company, is seeking a self‑motivated Software Engineer to join its Development Team. You will participate in the design, development, testing and documentation of Mirada’s medical software products, working across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional software including analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing and documentation.
• Estimate effort and regularly update progress for assigned tasks.
• Participate in peer reviews of your own and others’ work.
• Contribute to company‑wide and functional improvement initiatives.
• Engage in quality processes and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide support and maintenance, including on‑site visits when required.
• Research, investigate and prototype new technologies as requested.
• Validate internal and third‑party software components.
• Coordinate small teams and report progress to Technical Leads.
• Lead or specialise in specific technologies or disciplines as needed.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management and Information Security systems.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related Science/Engineering discipline.
• Experience in Java development, including Swing.
• Familiarity with IDEs, source‑control, issue‑tracking and build systems.
• Ability to develop software to detailed requirement specifications.
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work within multi‑disciplinary teams and gather stakeholder input.
• Strong time‑management and estimation skills.
• Methodical, structured approach to tasks and a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Eagerness to learn, self‑develop and share knowledge.
