Software Engineer (VP) – FX Client & Prime

About the role

Citi is looking for a Vice‑President level Software Engineer to join its FX Client & Prime team in London. You will help design, build and maintain the technology that powers billions of dollars of foreign‑exchange transactions across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and deploy high‑quality, scalable software solutions for FX trading and client‑prime services.
• Collaborate with product owners, traders and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring they are clean, testable and performant.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior team members and contribute to best‑practice standards.
• Support the continuous integration and delivery pipeline to enable rapid, reliable releases.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a passion for building reliable financial systems.
• Experience working in an agile, collaborative environment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, combining office and remote work.
