Software Project Manager – Safety Critical

About the role

This contract position supports an award‑winning engineering software organisation that delivers safety‑critical and embedded systems for the aerospace sector. You will work within a software engineering environment, helping to improve project delivery, governance and reporting across a highly technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Embed best‑practice project controls and strengthen risk and change management processes.
• Drive delivery confidence by implementing robust reporting and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate with large aerospace stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of software components.
• Support the team in adhering to safety‑critical standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering software in safety‑critical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex stakeholder groups, particularly within aerospace organisations.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom (no visa sponsorship available).

Required skills

• Strong Project Management experience.
• Experience managing software delivery in safety‑critical contexts.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry processes and standards.
