Software Tester – Remote (UK) – £40k-£45k

About the role

Our client, a technology‑led services business, is seeking a meticulous Software Tester to join their growing team. Working remotely from anywhere in the UK, you will ensure high‑quality, reliable software across web, desktop and mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain test plans and test cases to agreed standards.
• Execute manual and automated tests across web, desktop and mobile applications.
• Raise, track and report defects using Jira.
• Ensure 100% test execution within each sprint.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and sprint reviews.
• Support regression testing and continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Liaise with clients to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, methodical and proactive.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining calm and solution‑focused.
• Clear communicator who collaborates effectively across teams.
• Pride in delivering work of the highest quality.

Required skills

• Experience with automation tools such as Appium, Selenium or Playwright.
• Ability to write test plans and BDD Gherkin test cases.
• Familiarity with C#, SQL and WebAPI testing (or willingness to learn).
• Proficiency with Jira, Zephyr Scale and API tools like Postman.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software lifecycle.
• ISTQB qualification (or working towards it) and exposure to test automation frameworks and CI environments.
