Solar PV & BESS Project Manager

About the role

This role leads utility‑scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from concept through commissioning. You will be responsible for overseeing EPC activities, design, manufacturing, installation and ensuring delivery to safety, quality, time and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Solar PV and BESS projects across the full lifecycle, developing plans, technical requirements and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders to keep programmes on schedule.
• Manage project budgets, resources, risks and programme milestones.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Maintain client relationships and provide regular project updates.
• Ensure all documentation, approvals and records are kept up to date.
• Drive high standards of quality, health & safety and regulatory compliance.
• Identify process improvement and business growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Previous project management experience on utility‑scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Experience managing EPC and construction activities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines and resources.
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation and industry standards.
• Desirable: HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Desirable certifications: SMSTS, IOSH, CDM or similar.
• Experience delivering substation, E‑House or renewable energy infrastructure projects.
